Some thoughts...

Setting the mood...

Our colors will be chocolate brown, champagne, ivory & a light pink (MAYBE hints of gold)

Uplighting!

Picture
The inspiration of my uplighting... I took the plunge and added 20 lights for our reception room. I think a pink glow will make the room feel gorgeous and elegant. I'm so excited!!

My inspiration!!

I love the overall look of this wedding (knottie unknown) - I am taking bits & pieces of it to create our day!

Bathroom Basket!

I love the idea of this poem for our bathroom basket! An easy project (I'm not crafty AT ALL!)

Love & Wine Box

Picture
I found this on another knottie's page (I forget who?) -  Before the wedding FI and I will write a letter to each other expressing our feelings for each other and why we fell in love. The letters will be sealed and added to the wooden box along with a bottle of wine & 2 wine glasses. The box will be nailed shut. We get to open it on our 25th wedding anniversary. If there comes a time in our marriage where we are just ready to give up we are to open the box, drink the wine and read the letters before making any ridiculous decisions.

I will find the box and we may add a few pictures or something to make it more personal, sort of like a time capsule. We will have it on display in our house until we can open it. I would like to incorporate this quote somehow:

"Love seems the swiftest but it is the slowest of all growths. No man or woman really knows what perfect love is until they have been married a quarter of a century." -Mark Twain

OUR HUPPAH!!
...we purchased this from Madya, a lovely fellow SoFlo knottie!! These pictures below are from her wedding. I love it!

Centerpiece ideas...

For our Saturday night wedding, I think candlelight will make an extraordinary centerpiece idea - so beautiful. I adore flowers too - but nothing overpowering. Simple - classic - elegant. That's what I'm hoping for!

Thanks for coming - sign our guestbook! (or rock?)

I love the idea of having a different idea for a guestbook - maybe a framed picture? OR... a rock bowl?

I will most likely make a book using our e-pics on blurb.com :)
