All the extras :)

A Beautiful addition to our ceremony...
(thank you Amy, knottie Aitrone!)

Bride & Groom, please look now at one anthers hands, so you may see the gift that they are to you.

These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.
These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.
These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.
These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind. These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy.
These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children.
These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.
These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.
And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.”

Crowning of the parents! (A Jewish tradition)

Another tradition we will do is the "crowning" of my parents - being the last of 4 (my two brothers and sister were all married within the past 5 years) - there is a wonderful jewish tradition .. see explanation below! My mom will LOVE IT! :)

Mezinke Tanz OR Krenzel The Mezinke Tanz is one of the concluding dances of the night and honors parents who have married off their last child. The dance is also known as Krenzel (Yiddish for "crown") in reference to the crown of flowers often placed in the mother's hair during the dance. The proud parents are seated on chairs in the middle of the dance floor while friends and family dance around, kissing them as they pass in front.

Ketubah (Jewish Wedding Contract)

I LOVE this. I became a huge fan of the Hamsa while in Israel.  It also includes our wedding's theme, "I am my Beloved's And My Beloved Is Mine"  The artist is Michelle Rummel.

Matching Parent's Gift!!

Picture
The artist also will create a matching piece of art for our parents - we will have her personalize it with our names & wedding date - a thank you - and something beautifully written (a poem?) I think they'll love it!

A toast to you!

These were lovingly given to us as a gift... our beautiful Vera Wang toasting flutes! Can't wait to use them! (From Bed, Bath & Beyond)

Let's eat cake!

This was one of the first gifts we received. Our stunning Vera Wang cake cutting set! (From Macys)

The Cardbox!

I bought this from a fellow knottie, Gladys! This is from her wedding - it's so pretty!!! I have yet to see it in person, my best friend picked it up for me - I'll see it in April 2009! :)

This is how it works, haha!

"All Because Two People Fell In Love"

Picture
We plan on having wedding pictures of various people in our families, along with this sign, behind the placecards. See vendors for review, but I do love the sign :) (Please excuse my dirty table!)

Fire, fire, fire.

We ordered 100 matchbooks from The Knot... I had them sent to Florida but my FSIL sent me a picture. The quality seems good and the prices were amazing! I plan on putting them in the out of town bags, in both bathrooms, and (if extra) in a basket during cocktail hour! It says Courtney & Joshua, our wedding date, and an E for our last name!)

My mommy, my love!

I love this handkerchief! (See vendors for review!) It reads... Mommy, To dry your tears as you have always dried mine. Love, Courtney April 24 2010.

Future mother-in-law!

I love this as well! It reads...Lisa, thank you for raising the man of my dreams. Love, Courtney April 24 2010

Justin's Ringbearer Pillow!!

Picture
My nephew, Justin (will be 2 at the wedding) is our ringbearer. I found this pillow on the trash-to-treasure board and thought it was adorable & went with our colors scheme perfectly!! For $15 including shipping I couldn't refuse (it is brand new, never used). I think he will look SO CUTE walking down the aisle with it - I will put it on my bed post wedding to remember our lovely day!

Sexy Garter!

Picture
We are not doing a garter toss and I'm not a Miami Dolphins fan but my fiance will be happily surprised to see this puppy on my leg ;) I bought it from seller avysm on etsy! Can't wait to see it!

My gorgeous e-ring & wedding band!

Picture
My gorgeous r-ing is unbelievably complimented by this .55/100 ct platinum channel set wedding band. I'm in love & can't wait until I can wear it daily!

FI's wedding band!

Picture
(Pardon the odd picture) FI picked out a gorgeous, timeless & classic band. It's 14K White Gold with a satin center and high polish edges. We will engrave both of our rings (TBD)

Wedding Favors - CDs!!

For our favors, we had our bridal party and parents dedicate a song to us. We are taking the 20 songs and we are making Cds for our guests. It took a while to get everyone's choices, but here is the final list! This is Josh's project - he is in charge of putting the songs in a perfect order, burning all the CDs and creating the labels... he is very excited & I'm excited to have one less project to worry about!!
P.S. Because our bridal party is so freaking HUGE - the couples were forced to pick one song from the both of them ;)
